Terms of Service

Welcome to KudosCards.io("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using kudoscards.io ("the Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
KudosCards.io lets registered users ("Creators") create group digital cards ("Kudos Cards") for occasions such as birthdays, work anniversaries, retirements, and farewells. Third parties ("Contributors") can post messages, photos, and GIFs to a Kudos Card without registering an account.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it you represent that you meet this requirement. Users who manage personal data of others (e.g. the honouree's name) are responsible for having appropriate authority to do so.
3. Accounts & Authentication
We use password-free "magic link" authentication. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. You may not share your account or impersonate anyone else. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Content Rules
You must not post content that:
- Is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory
- Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property
- Contains spam, phishing, malware, or unsolicited advertising
- Is sexually explicit or involves minors in any inappropriate way
- Impersonates a real person or organisation
We may remove any content that violates these rules at our sole discretion and without notice. Creators are responsible for moderating content on their Kudos Cards and for using the provided moderation tools.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting to the Service you grant KudosCards.io a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and transmit your content solely to operate the Service. This licence ends when you delete your content or account.
KudosCards.io and its logo are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
6. Free vs. Paid Plans
A free plan is available with limited features. Paid plans may be introduced in the future. We will provide reasonable notice of any changes to pricing. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.
7. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge you have read and understood it.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KudosCards.io and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Oregon, USA.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
